Georgia Signed a Major Medical Cannabis Expansion. The Doctors Who Tried to Kill It Didn’t Have the Science On Their Side.
Gov. Brian Kemp signed SB 220 β the ‘Putting Georgia’s Patients First Act’ β into law on May 12, expanding patient access to vapes, concentrates, and higher THC limits. A group of physicians had urged him to veto it. Their letter leaned on a ‘no demonstrated safety or benefit’ claim that peer-reviewed literature doesn’t support.
